Fun Preschool Activity: Trip to the Strong National Museum of Play

Last weekend, we took my daughter to the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY. It was lots of fun! After all, what isn’t there to love about a museum of play? Almost all of their exhibits are interactive. Even if you don’t live near Rochester, NY, many states have museums for kids. They make for a fun family preschool field trip.

Note: This is just a sample of what was available. We opted to go on Sunday instead of Saturday and their hours were shorter, so we didn’t have as much time as I would have liked. Preschool Activity: Trip to a Petting Zoo/Farm

In my last post, I outlined how a preschool field trip to the zoo with you is a great way to have a fun, exciting, and educational time with your child. Unfortunately, you may not have a zoo located very close to your home. If not, examine local petting zoos, also known as petting farms. Some farmers invite the public onto their farms to see the animals and sometimes to help feed them.

Since the weather is starting to get nicer in most areas of the country, a preschool activity that you may enjoy is visiting the zoo. You and your family can have your own little preschool field trip.

Personally, we have plans to go in the next few weeks. My daughter loves the zoo.
